Today’s Top Pick is a 2019 Cirrus SF50 G2+ Vision Jet.
Pilots tend to be ambitious types, always pursuing higher levels of performance and proficiency. After years of flying fast, complex piston singles, it seems natural to start thinking about stepping up to a light jet.

Cirrus anticipated this trend and, not long after ramping up production of its SR20 and SR22 piston singles, the company began work on what eventually entered production in 2016 as the Vision Jet.
The aircraft’s long road to certification was in part the result of its single-engine design, which challenged the industry norm of twin-engine personal and business jets. While the notion of a single-engine jet drew skepticism at the time, the concept was a boon for pilots, who got to skip the multi-engine rating typically required for jet operations.
The single engine is among several Vision Jet design features, from its aerodynamics to cockpit layout, that help make the aircraft a fairly easy transition for pilots accustomed to high-performance piston singles in general and Cirrus SR models in particular.

This 2019 example has the Autoland, autothrottle, in-flight Wi-Fi, and other updates that differentiate late-model Vision Jets from earlier models.
This 2019 Vision Jet has 600 hours on the airframe and its Williams International FJ33-5A engine. The engine is rated at 1,846 pounds of thrust and is equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, FADEC control, and upgrades to improve performance during hot and high conditions. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 6,000 pounds and a service ceiling of 31,000 feet.
The aircraft’s advanced panel features Garmin’s Cirrus-specific Perspective Touch avionics. Pilots of high-performance piston singles who want to step up to the increased speed, range, and comfort of a jet without the steep learning curve associated with larger, multi-engine aircraft should consider this 2019 Cirrus SF50 G2+ Vision Jet, which is available for $2.6 million on AircraftForSale.
