AIRFRAME
4,000 hours total time on a 1962 airframe means this Skylane has averaged just over 60 hours a year — light use for a 60-year-old airplane. Hangared continuously for at least the last 15 years, first at Oakland (KOAK) for approximately a decade and at Truckee (KTRK) for the last five. Complete logbooks in hand and available for inspection.
POWERPLANT
Continental O-470-R with 1,200 hours since major overhaul. TBO is 1,500 hours. Compressions and oil analysis history available on request. Engine runs strong and starts easily.
PROPELLER — RECENT INVESTMENT
Hartzell 3-blade scimitar Top Prop (PHC-G3YF-1RF) with only 205 hours SNEW. This STC'd conversion is worth ~$13,000 in kit cost alone and delivers noticeably better climb performance (~8.5% over the original two-blade) and a smoother cabin. Essentially a like-new prop on the nose.
- LONG-RANGE FUEL
- STC'd 82-gallon extended-range fuel system. Comfortable 5+ hour cross-country legs with reserves.

COSMETICS — HONEST ASSESSMENT
Exterior paint
Original 1970s-era cream with brown and gold striping. Presentable overall but showing its age — some chips at wing strut fairings and general oxidation. Would benefit from a repaint at some point but flies proudly as-is.
Interior
Tan corduroy seats (both front pair and rear bench) are in surprisingly clean condition. Door jambs, sidewall trim near the doors, floor carpet, and lower plastics show their age and would benefit from refurbishment. Priced to reflect this.
WHAT THIS AIRPLANE IS
An honest, always-hangared 1962 Skylane with a modern GPS/Nav/Comm, a near-new 3-blade prop, long-range tanks, ADS-B Out/In, engine preheat, and a fresh annual — priced for a buyer who wants a capable, IFR-ready cross-country airplane and is willing to invest sweat equity in cosmetics over time. Not a show plane; a fly-it, love-it, use-it airplane.
