SEPECAT (Société Européenne de Production de l'avion Ecole de Combat et d'Appui Tactique) was an Anglo-French aircraft manufacturer. Established during 1966, its aim was to handle the development and commercialization of the Jaguar, an attack and training aircraft.
In the Gulf War, the Jaguar was praised for its reliability and was a valuable coalition resource. The aircraft served with the French Air Force as the main strike/attack aircraft until 1 July 2005, and with the Royal Air Force until the end of April 2007.
This airframe was delivered to the UK RAF on February 3rd, 1975. It serviced its whole life with the RAF. At some point it was put in storage at Shawbery. In 2005 the military released the aircraft to the market. It was moved to Bentwaters. In 2015 it was sold and shipped to the U.S.
The aircraft has been in inside storage in California since 2015. The owner’s intent was to restore and fly the aircraft. That has not happened and now the present owner needs to sell the aircraft.
It is a complete aircraft with very extensive spares—many of which are still in the U.K. The spares consist of two containers of parts in UK, including 4 engines, hot sections, turbine sections, afterburner units, five low time APU units and a variety of other spares such as tailerons , canopies avionics tires tools etc.
The aircraft needs restoration and certification here in the U.S. (or any other country) then there is no reason it cannot fly again.
