76/80, 78/80, 78/80, 77/80, 78/80, 74/80, Master Orifice 42/80
OCT 2023: An AUTHORIZED CIRRUS SERVICE CENTER & FAA CRS, Aerowood Aviation in Monroe, NC Pulled All Cylinders Due to Oil Consumption. They Found Swirls on the CAM LOBES and Recommended an IRAN. This Prompted the Owner to Seek Corrective Action at TRIAD ENGINES/FAA CRS in Burlington, NC Where the IRAN Was Completed 93.6 Hours Ago. The Motor Was Disassembled, Inspected, Cleaned & Repaired as Needed. Although the Camshaft Was OK, It Was Replaced Along with The Lifters & ALL Cylinders Were Repaired as Needed, Cleaned, Lapped & Inspected. The Barrels Were Honed & the Seats & Valves Were Replaced. No Leaks Were Noted. The Motor was Re-Installed DEC 20, 2023 @ 808.9 Hours. Note: Continental has an SIL that States that Swirling is Normal if There Are No Ridges.
JAN 2024: TRIAD Removed All Cylinders Due to Evidence of Continued Oil Leaks. All Cylinders Were Removed and Re-Installed with New Gaskets and Seals with 8 Quarts of Mineral Oil. No Further Leaks Were Noted.
JUNE 2024: FAA CRS "Avias LLC" (DLKAviation.com) of Kennesaw, GA, an Authorized CIRRUS SERVICE CENTER, Removed All Cylinders Due to Severe Glazing. Glazing Was Removed & Cylinders Were Re-Installed with New Gaskets.
The Most Recent Annual was $14,000 After 2 Attempts to Break In the Cylinders. The Owner Spared No Expense to Get The Re-worked Cylinders Properly Repaired and Broken In, In Order to Address the Original Oil Consumption Issue and Restore the Engine Back to Optimum Running Condition.
