- One of the finest examples of this fast and capable load hauling aircraft anywhere.
- Hangar kept in Florida since 2017, it spent most of its life in Texas. It has been treated with ACF-50 regularly and remains corrosion free.
- Recent paint, Lycoming factory engine (7/2020) with roller tappets and 200 hours since “0” time with all new accessories and awesome avionics. Cruises at 160-170 knots (in the mid-teens) with plenty of O2 in the factory installed tank. 88 gallons of usable fuel, it can fly 800+ NM in 5 hours.
- Many upgrades and mods including Factory O2 system with current hydrostat, front seats center console with adjustable arm rest, manual storage and cup holders, leather seats and custom stitched headliner, Knots 2U Flap gap seals, eyeball style interior wing root vents, Rosen sun visors, fully articulating pilot seat with new seat rails and inertial reel safety stop to prevent back slide, custom canvas cover by Bruce and much more.

Airframe Description
- Complete logs since 1985, airframe has no record or evidence of damage history.
- Hangar kept in Florida since 2017, it spent most of its life in Texas. It has been treated with ACF-50 regularly and remains corrosion free. When we repainted it in Feb. 2021, it still had the original paint job which was still ok but out dated and we had a new N#.
- All new windows and gaskets 7/2020. All wingtips, stab tips, rudder and vert. stab tips, strut fairings etc. replaced with new fiberglass instead of plastic. Horizontal stab abrasion boot replaced at paint job. All new LAMAR solenoids for starter, master switch and aux power 7/2020. All new NAV/COM antennas. Prop overhauled 6/22. Sky Tec starter and Plane Power alternator upgrades.
- The guarded switch on the pilot side of the main instrument panel allows NAC/COM 2 to be powered directly from the battery without turning on the master. Useful for ATIS, clearance delivery, ATC ground delay and other situations when you only need to communicate without powering up the whole ship and draining the battery. Also very handy in situations of electrical system trouble in flight. It just might allow you to communicate and fly an ILS with everything else powered off. This is a feature every IFR capable plane should have!

Engine
- LYCOMING
- RL-16410-40E
- This was a $50,000 plus engine change but we wanted the best and only Lycoming can replace the solid tappets with the roller kind (big improvement for engine life) and only the manufacturer can "0" time an engine.
- These engines are de-rated and regularly go 2500 hours if operated properly. Oil analysis since break in and oil changes at 25 hours. Cylinder compression at annual 74, 76, 77, 76, 76, 76. Engine accessories NEW at engine change include prop governor, magnetos, fuel pump, carburetor and more.
- While the engine was being changed we had the engine mount stripped, inspected and repaired along with the exhaust system, all new exhaust system and turbo V-band clamps replaced, intake manifold overpressure valve overhauled, engine hoses all Stratoflex Teflon 124J "forever" hose, new oil cooler and more.
- These engines tend to "exhale" oil vapor from the crankcase breather system so I added an Air Wolf oil air separator to help keep the belly dry. Turbo and prop overhauled 6/22. Sky Tec starter and Plane Power alternator upgrades.
Prop
- MCCAULEY
- 46 SMOH
- Aluminum 1 blades
- This prop has had zero issues. Not as sexy as the 3-bladed but its hard to justify the cost when the performance isn't improved much.
Modifications/Conversions
- Knots 2U flap gap seals, fiberglass fairings and tips, Rosen sun visors, interior aluminum eyeball air vents, improved fuel cap system, Air Wolf oil air separator, inertial reel for pilot seat, upgraded seat tracks, upgraded oil cooler and on and on. Too much to list here.

Interior Condition
- Passenger
- The leather seats and most interior components were done in 2005. The seats are in good condition, recently reconditioned and detailed. There's some stains on the carpet and wear on sidewalls etc. but very good overall. We had the headliner done recently with stitched "baseball seams" (reference photos) instead of the "stretch and glue" method which always fails in the long run.
