  • Log Books indicate that Pen Aero Overhauled the Engine in 1999 and they show it as a new zero-time engine. That would make the engine a 900-hour Total Time Engine. The cylinders were put on new back in 1999 and are 900 hours since new with an overhaul this year by J&J during the recent overhaul. However, it will be up to the buyer to decide if Pen Aero can zero-time an engine, I have had some IA Mechanics indicate that's not correct, I don't know. Worst case it would be a 3,000-hour engine with 0 times SMOH and a total time of 3,000. I think and was told it was a zero-time engine at the time Pen Aero Overhauled it and the log books state zero time.
