Step into the history of the Cessna 152 by looking back at 1977. Resembling a compact Skyhawk, which itself echoes the design of a scaled-down 150, the Cessna 152 showcases the brand's expertise in building upon past successes. Stemming from the Cessna 150, the 152 inherited its tricycle gear but underwent modifications, including exhaust reposition and fuel vent system redesign. The introduction of wet wings served as the solution for fuel storage.

However, the Cessna 152 exhibited a tendency toward being nose-heavy, a characteristic that persisted throughout its production.

Even in new models, careful trimming is essential to prevent the risk of any nose gear impacting the runway, potentially leading to crow hopping down the strip. Older Cessna 152s are often seen with more repaired landing gear and firewall due to nose prangs.

Initially powered by a 110-HP Continental O-235 engine, the Cessna 152's powerplant underwent changes over the years. The engine's reliability and suitability for the aircraft ensured its retention until the Cessna 152 went our of production. The engine remains easily overahulable, with costs typically under $20,000.

The Cessna 152 has evolved aesthetically, as it transitioned from its original design with a straight tail and windowless rear to a much sleeker appearance with a distinctive tailfin and the beloved classic rear window. The early models had a gross weight of 1670 pounds, a notable difference from the later models they have. With a a maximum takeoff weight of 1670 pounds, this aircraft underwent continuous improvement. New model designations were also introduced periodically throughout its time being. The 152A, for instance, featured redesigned gear, a wider track, and a lower stance, along with an external baggage door and a 100-pound increase in gross weight.
