Highlights

 • N28073 stands out as a superb example of its type. With impressive speed and comfort, its wooden wing and large tail provides stability in turbulence and exceptional handling. The Super Viking is a high-performance aircraft that demands precise speed control throughout all stages of flight.
 • The 1979 model incorporated a number of new enhancements. Full gear doors, manual cowl flaps, and significant manufacturing enhancements, resulting in less operational complexity and a speed advantage over earlier models. This well-maintained plane retains its original engine, fabric, paint, and interior. Meticulous attention to airworthiness, with annuals conducted by Witmers over the years and inspections over the last three years by Dave Pasquale of Pasquale Aviation, adds to its appeal.
 • For enthusiasts seeking an original, handcrafted piece of aviation excellence, N28073 presents a compelling option.

Inspection Status

 • I bought N28073, a 1979 Bellanca Super Viking, in December 2017 with the intention of flying it for many years. Working with Bellanca expert Dave Pasquale, we've transformed it into one of the best original examples of its type. The annual inspections, starting in August 2021 with 93 discrepancies, reduced to 27 in 2022 and 18 in the December 2023 have addressed all the outstanding discrepancies and required ADs. Despite my initial flying plans, changes in my life have led me to prioritize other activities. After I have done all I can to make this plane the best it can be, I want it to be flown rather than sit idle and deteriorate.

The New Tiger Flies

Picking up where American General left off, Tiger LLC builds a sporty if not blisteringly fast cruiser at an affordable price.

As seen on:

The Tiger

[IMGCAP(1)]Every so often a company or consortium is formed with the avowed purpose of reviving an airplane that has long been out of production. These schemes usually fail, often because the investors and managers-however experienced-seem unable to realistically estimate start-up and production costs.
The Tiger, a sporty four-place airplane distinguished by a sliding canopy and the fastest cruise in its class, has had four parent companies in its checkered history. Now, a fifth one, called Tiger Aircraft LLC, has a brand new factory in Martinsburg, West Virginia, ready to bring back the Tiger yet again.
In a marketplace whose graveyard is well-stocked with the bones of aviation entr...
