- Extremely useful plane with giant payload and great performance with the 200 fuel injected engine. Great even at high altitude, plane has been based in Truckee CA at field elevation of 5,900‘MSL and we regularly fly out at max gross on long trips with two adults, one kid and several bags and coolers. Very large CG range so never a problem flying a lone with light fuel or loading it up to the max. I’m 6’5” tall and love this plane for how large it feels compared to the 172’s I learned in. Much wider cabin than most other single engines out there, equivalent to Cessna 182 or larger depending on model year comparing to. Great visibility over the nose and extremely tight taxing turning radius. High altitude for last 9 years, and lived in Texas before that, hangered for last 9 years.
