July 3, 2009, Albuquerque, N.M., Cessna 441 Conquest II
The airplane was substantially damaged at approximately 0540 following an intentional gear-up landing. Night visual conditions prevailed. The airline transport pilot and two crew members were not injured. While on final approach, the landing gear switch was selected "down" and the landing gear circuit breaker popped. The pilot initiated the "Emergency Landing Gear Would Not Extend Normally" checklist, but the landing gear did not extend. Despite troubleshooting the malfunction, the gear was confirmed in the retracted position by another pilot utilizing night vision goggles during a low approach.

At about 1115 eastern time, a Cessna 441 was destroyed by impact with a lake in a residential area in Greenacres City. The pilot was killed. The pilot contacted Palm Beach International Airport to request a practice ILS approach. The pilot was instructed by the controller to proceed northwest and maintain 2,500 feet. When the airplane was five miles southwest of the airport, ATC instructed the pilot to turn southbound due to inbound traffic from the west. During the final two minutes of the flight, radar coverage was intermittent. The airplane changed heading and lost altitude with each radar return. In the last 15 seconds of the flight the airplanes vertical descent speed approached 6,000...

June 18, Medford, Ore. / Cessna 441
At approximately 1950 Pacific time, a Cessna 441 suffered a collapsed right main gear during the landing roll at Rogue Valley International Airport. The pilot and three passengers were not injured. The pilot said the gear retraction after takeoff from Lake Tahoe Airport did not feel normal and it appeared as though the gear cycle did not end. He re-cycled the gear and noted that both the gear transition light and the hydraulic light failed to extinguish at the end of the cycle. He pulled the landing gear circuit breaker to turn the hydraulic pump off. Passengers visually confirmed that the right main gear was not retracted. Prior to landing the pilot observed three green lights on the gear p...
